Choose the right billing model

State currency on every line and in the total. Use the client local date format only if they request it. Include your tax status clearly. If you are not registered for VAT in their country, say so where required.

Payment terms for freelancers

Net 15 or due on receipt is common for smaller clients. Larger companies may require Net 30 or Net 45. Send the invoice promptly when work is delivered. Follow up politely before the due date if payment has not arrived.
