How to create an estimate in four steps
Choose a template
Pick Classic, Modern or Minimal in the settings panel, then set your accent colour and font.
Add your details
Upload your logo, then fill in your business details, your client's details, the estimate number and the dates.
List your items
Enter a description, quantity and rate for each item. Add a discount or tax rate if you need one.
Download the PDF
Select Download PDF. The estimate is saved to your device, ready to email or print.

What to include on an estimate
Clients approve estimates faster when they can see how you got the number:
- An estimate number and date.
- Separate lines for labour, materials and other costs.
- Quantities and rates, so the client can follow the maths.
- Tax and the estimated total.
- A valid until date and any assumptions behind the price.
An estimate is usually not binding. State clearly that the final invoice may differ if the scope changes.

Is this estimate generator really free?
Yes. You can create, edit and download as many estimates as you like without paying anything.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
No. Open the page and start. There is nothing to register or verify.
Will the PDF have a watermark?
No. The downloaded estimate contains only the content you entered.
Where is my data stored?
Your draft, including your logo, is saved in your own browser so you can close the tab and continue later. When you select Download PDF, the details are sent to our server only to build the PDF file. Guest documents are not saved to an account. Clearing your browser data removes the draft.
How do I download my estimate as a PDF?
Fill in the client name and at least one item, then select Download PDF at the top of the page. The file downloads straight to your device.
Can I add my logo and change the colours?
Yes. Click the logo box on the invoice to upload your logo, then choose an accent colour, font and template in the settings panel. The preview updates instantly and the PDF uses the same layout.
Is an estimate the same as a quote?
Not quite. A quote is usually a fixed price, while an estimate is an approximate cost that can change once the work is better understood.
Can I turn an estimate into an invoice?
Yes. Open the invoice generator and enter the final items and amounts once the work is complete.
